You may be right. I may be crazy. But it just may be a lunatic you're looking for.

On Saturday Richard told me I'm crazy. For once, I believe he may have been right. ;)

Gwenny had been invited to a birthday party at Build-a-Bear and she was very excited. We had a playdate in the morning, and had had a crazy week, so we hadn't gotten out to get a birthday present yet. I thought we'd have time to go on Saturday, but she HAD to have a nap, so it was a no go. She really didn't want me to go to the store without her to get the gift, so I thought, "I'll just make something!" Brilliant!

I have these adorable Build-a-Bear dies for the Big Shot. I had already made a magnetic dress-up set for the birthday girl at my Kids' Stamp Camp, but I decided that wasn't enough.

Here's what I made:

I don't know what alternate universe I was in when I thought I could have it ready in the hour and a half I had before the party. I ended up having to drive it over to their house when I picked Gwenny up from the party. Never one to prepare ahead of time!

I was in such a rush, I didn't even have time to take a proper picture. These blurry pics were taken with my phone. :/

Here's a close up of the bear:

I used the Big Shot Fabric Adhesive Roll to create and attach the bear and her clothing. Super fast and easy and I was SO done with sewing by that point.

Maybe I'll plan ahead next time?

  3. Aww - thanks Heather! I had made Gwenny a couple petty skirts before, so it wasn't completely uncharted territory. I did not sew the shirt, just in case you think I'm some kind of Houdini. ;)
