Gift for a teacher

I made this little box set for Mitchell's preschool teacher. It was her birthday last week so the parents chipped in to get her a gift card. *Of course* I had to make a custom gift box and card for it!

I got the template for the Top Note box from the Resources section of www.splitcoaststampers.com. I used Crumb Cake card stock to cover the chip board, glued them together, then ran them through the big shot together to get a nice clean finish. The stamps are from the Level 2 hostess set "Apple Blossoms". My color scheme was Old Olive, Rose Red, and Crumb Cake. I heat embossed the sentiment with Whisper White craft ink and white embossing powder.

The card was made quick and easy by using some retired designer series paper, which was the inspiration for the color scheme. A sentiment from "Teeny Tiny Wishes" punched out using the Word Window punch, then mounted on a Rose Red Modern Label punch-out keep the labor down to a minimum.

The box perfectly accomodated the gift card (Charming Charlie's) as well as the birthday card. I tied it shut using 1/4" Old Olive grosgrain ribbon.

Happy crafting!
