A fishy birthday

The kids were invited to a friend's birthday party - the daughter of my upline, Neelam. Neelam's daughter loves Ariel, so I thought we'd make an Ariel themed set.

The waves were made with my good old Creative Memories wavey trimmer and some glitter paper. See Ariel's tale sticking up between the waves?

That's Flounder there to wish her a happy birthday, in case you couldn't tell. I used the new Perfect Punches stamp set for the sentiment - it's so quick and easy with the coordinating punches! Three of Stampin' Up!'s new adhesive backed pearls show that Flounder is thinking/saying "Happy Birthday". The ornament punch, scalloped oval punch, and heart punch were used to create the fish body.

This crab is from a retired hostess set and actually comes with a frowny face and an "I'm sorry" sentiment. I just colored the parts of him that I wanted with my Stampin' Write marker and drew in a smiley face instead. I used the same technique on the sentiment, which comes from the Heard from the Heart stamp set.

  1. This is sooo cute! Love the glitter paper!

  2. Adorable! Did you take pictures of the great pirate map card yall made for Z? It was super-cute too. I still have it, but I didn't take a picture before it was opened.

  3. Thanks ladies!

Deanna - no, I'm sure I was running too late to take any pictures. ;)
