I have been wanting to create a box using chipboard and I finally did it! I love how it turned out. I adhered some designer paper to the chipboard using my Tombo multipurpose glue (green bottle) before I ran it through the Big Shot using the Top Note die. This cut out the shape for the top and bottom of the box.
Next I used my Ovals die to cut a Very Vanilla oval which I stamped with a sentiment from the "Define Your Life" set. I used the "rock and roll" technique to create the gradient look for the flowers with the "Greenhouse Garden" stamp, then cut out the flowers and covered them in "Crystal Effects" to give them structure and a glossy finish.
I made the body of the box out of Crumb Cake (formerly called Kraft) card stock and added some Very Vanilla strips to the sides, sponging the edges in Marina Mist ink.
This box along with a set of 2 x 3" card and envelopes will be one of the fabulous hand crafted prizes at my upcoming New Catalog Release Party!
Sorry for the quick post, but I'm off to the Stampin' Up! Convention is Salt Lake City! I'm sure to come back with tons of great ideas, so check back later this month to read all about it.
