Yesterday I created a digital card in My Digital Studio, Stampin' Up!'s digital paper crafting software. Today I printed out the invitation on Very Vanilla card stock, cut it, scored it, and adhered the front and back together to create a pocket. Next I used my 3/4" circle punch to cut a semi circle out of the right side. I used some retired Kiwi Kiss satin ribbon to create a pull for the insert and let it stick out the side of the card.
I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and Richard has reassured me that everyone will recognize the semi-circle cutout and ribbon tab as the universal sign for "Pull out this insert and read it!"
I really like the way I got to blend digital crafting (so I didn't have to write all that info a bajillion times) with hand crafting (the punching and ribbon adding). I think I'll use this process again in the future when I'm going to make a bunch of the same type of invitation. Maybe even for my holiday cards?
