Getting to know My Digital Studio

My Digital Studio, or MDS is Stampin' Up!'s digital paper crafting software. It allows you to make cards, scrapbook pages, calendars, interactive photo galleries and slideshows, etc. I just got it and have been super excited to play with it.

My first task using MDS is to create paper invitations for my upcoming New Catalog Release Party & Retied Item Sale to deliver to the people in my neighborhood. I thought this would be a fun way to get to know the software and not have to make a bajillion handmade invitations.

There are some super cute templates that come with the software and it is so much fun to get to add as many embellishments as I want without having to worry about cost or bulk. I created the invitation without really having to learn the software thoroughly, so I was pleased with that.

Thankfully I had my friend Jennifer proofread it for me, because I was so wrapped up in the details that I forgot to include the date, time and location! Bah!

Now I am trying to get it to print on my card stock so that I can just cut the page in half and fold. I am sorry to say I think I'm going to have to actually read and/or watch the tutorials to figure this part out. I'll report back on my progress later in the week!

I plan to glue the front and back together, creating a pocket and have this third piece as a pull-out insert. I'll post pictures once I get it printed.
